What are Christmas crafts without felt?  Lacking, right?

So, we had to break out the felt to make something, and these easy ornaments were perfect!

First, we used a cookie cutter to trace the shape onto the felt, and then we cut the shape out.

Then….

I dumped the contents of our button box onto the table and let them go to town!

Though the glue got a little messy and some of the buttons went on backwards, the kids enjoyed putting their own creative twist on each ornament.

In fact, the girl who once told me “Glitter is kind of my thing” had to add a little sparkle to the project.

And, I was glad she did.

To hang the ornaments, we simply threaded a needle with red thread and sewed it through the top of the tree to make a loop.
