Peace.
Some days I just want a little peace.
Kids that don’t argue.
A heart that doesn’t complain.
A home full of peace, not a house full of chaos.
A mind at rest, not worried.
And, I know that peace is found in deeper things that a strong cup of coffee during the kids’ naps.
It is found in wisdom.
“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.” (Proverbs 3:13-17)
Oh, how I wish the same could be said of me. “All her paths are peace.” Can you even imagine? But by seeking wisdom and living by it we come ever closer, don’t we?
Wisdom teaches our children and understands their needs.
Wisdom gives contentment to my heart.
Wisdom orders our home and calms the chaos.
Wisdom rests in God.
