Since we’ve been homeschooling for a whole half a year now, I thought I’d share with you things that have become great helpers around here, seeing as I’m an expert and everything…not! But, I do think one of the best things about the homeschooling community is that people pass on information that’s helped them. So, I thought I’d do the same.
My little guy is the king of puzzles. Seriously. Don’t bring preschool puzzles to him. They’re a joke. But, he loves them anyway so when I saw these Match It! Puzzle Games Counting, I thought we’d give them a try.
Love them! He will sit QUIETLY for minutes on end, sorting and matching and counting. (You thought I was going to say “hours,” didn’t you? They’re puzzles, not miracle workers.) It’s really helpful while I’m working on math with my oldest. I love that the pieces are self-correcting so he can figure out for himself if he is right or wrong. (Do I sound like I’m trying to keep him busy? Confession: sometimes, I am!)
Another great thing about these is that the price is not bad. I actually found them on sale around Christmas for about $5.
Now that I’ve shared one of our Homeschool Helps, I’m wondering…what are some of yours?
