You know, it’s easy to say things….or write them.
Most of the people who read these words don’t know me.
I can say anything here, and many of you will never know if what I write is true of how I live, of what I believe.
If it isn’t, it’s deceitful, and so am I.
Proverbs 26:23 says, “Like a coating of silver dross on earthenware are fervent lips with an evil heart.”
Imagine buying a beautiful silver vase only to drop it and find a surprise inside. It isn’t made of silver at all!
Fake.
That’s how we are when we speak (or write) words that cover over a heart that isn’t right with God. We are lying, and our words are worthless.
Oh, to guard against it, to remember: The matter is not what I say, it’s what’s inside.
