Must-See Mississippi: Fulmer’s General Store

This post contains affiliate links to products mentioned. For more information, read my disclosure policy.

If you’re interested in taking a step back in time, visit Fulmer’s General Store in Richton.  There is a wonderful little store, complete with a restaurant.  You can buy fresh baked items, products from local farms and spices and other dry goods in bulk.  In addition, at times, there are demonstrations of life on a homestead many years ago.  We visited with my daughter’s school and had a wonderful time…here’s a taste:

Making butter…each child was able to take a turn at the churning.

Meeting the farm animals…these guys actually work the farm…and the kids loved them!

Making biscuits…the old fashioned way.

Cooking over a campfire…

Other highlights included:  washing clothes by hand, riding in a horse-drawn wagon, picking pecans, and much more!  Be sure to check it out, and remember that Fulmer’s host the annual Mississippi Pecan Festival each Fall.  Enjoy!

My husband and I went to Fulmer’s this past weekend with another couple. We all enjoyed it thoroughly . The staff was all so very friendly and great customer service! Starting with the meal the food was great ! They all had the chicken sandwich and I had the hamburger steak meal . The atmosphere and the shopping was fun too. Got to buy some of the yummy homemade breads and other good stuff. We will definitely go again soon.
