It’s that time of year. You know, the time of year you’re following your kids around with a camera, trying to get ONE GOOD PHOTO. Seriously. I managed to get all my kids to look at me for a picture in The Grove one day, and my sister said, “Slap it on a Christmas card and call it done.” The fact their little faces were covered in buttercream icing is of little consequence, I guess.
As November winds down, the pressure heats up. Everywhere we go, I’m like, “Smile!” My kids are like, “Grrrrrr…”, but there’s a deadline to meet so I press on.
Now, I realize that some of you over-achievers had your kids’ matching outfits shipped by the end of August, and your cards are already planned and probably printed. (I’m looking at you, Meghan. Thanks for the Thanksgiving Card, by the way. It’s adorable.) If you’re one of these people, just pin this post for next year because I’ve got a great greeting card resource to share with you this season!
The Kodak Moments App.
It’s really all you need to get your greeting cards together. It’s simple to use, and one of the great things is you can choose different layouts so if you fail in your epic quest to get all your kids to look at the camera AT THE SAME TIME you can just use individual photos of each kid.
You can also access the photos on your phone or in your social media accounts. I use Flickr to back up my photos, and it’s accesible from the app as well.
When you open the app, just choose what you’d like to create. (You can also just order prints…easy peasy.)
To get your greeting cards, choose “Order Cards.”
Then choose your theme.
Then get a little overwhelmed by all of the awesome designs that are available. It’s almost like the first time I went into a Walmart after living in Kenya for a while. A friend found me shaking in the toilet paper aisle. Back in the day in Nairobi, there were only two types: blue or white.
Once you’ve chosen a design (or at least narrowed it down to ten or twenty), just start adding your photos and text. Simple as that. When your design is done, order your cards and be glad you get to send them before Santa comes.
Yeah, I don’t have a completed card to show you. You didn’t really think mine were done with a whole week left in November did you? That would be totally out of character for me and probably just tempting fate somehow.
However, thanks to the kind folks at Kodak Moments, I’ll have my cards soon enough because they generously offered me 100 free holiday cards to test their app.
And guess what?
They want to give 100 free cards to one of you, too!!!!
How is THAT for Happy Thanksgiving?
So, enter below at least once per day, and I’ll announce a winner on Thanksgiving Day just in case you didn’t already have enough to be grateful for!
Disclosure: I was offered 100 free holiday cards to review this app, as well as 100 for a lucky reader. Opinions are all mine.

I’d love to say I’m an overachiever, but I’m not, we still have to plan our cards for this year. WHOOPS! Time is tickin’!
