WHAT YOU HAVE

We live in a consumer culture.  There’s no doubt about it.

The idea is to make more so you can spend more so you can have more.

And, somewhere along the way, our culture has decided that when you HAVE more you will BE more.

Don’t buy the lie this world is selling.

Because it is a lie.

Nothing you have changes who you are.  Only Christ can do that.

No amount of shoe shopping will fill the deepest needs of your soul.

The newest gadget will not give you peace.

If you’re looking for worth in your wealth of stuff, you will be disappointed.

Who you are and what you’re worth has nothing to do with what you have and everything to do with what you’ve been given.

Grace.

Love.

Mercy.

A future and a hope.

Things you can’t buy because He already bought them for you…with his blood.
