To kick off this 12 Days of Chistmas with Kids series, I thought I’d share with you a quick and easy treat that is as cute as it is easy.  And, kids LOVE them!  The only thing faster than making these little treats is watching them disappear.

To make this quick and easy, I bought pretzels that were already dipped in chocolate, but feel free to go full Martha and make those yourself.

Here’s what we used:

Chocolate Candy Melts

Mini M&M’s

Mini Pretzels

Candy Eyes

Marshmallows

Lollipop Sticks

The M&M’s and candy eyes come in handy in some other ideas for this series, too!

Preparation:  First line a cookie sheet with wax paper.  Next, let the kids stick one marshmallow on each lollipop stick and stand them up on the baking sheet.

To make these treats, first melt the chocolate.  Put some of it into a plastic squeeze bottle.  One by one, dip each marshmallow in the chocolate and place on the baking sheet.  We put the pan in the freezer to speed the cooling process.  (We wanted this to be quick, after all!)

When the chocolate has cooled and hardened, attach the eyes, nose and antlers using the melted chocolate in the squeeze bottle.  Lie the pops down on wax paper to allow the chocolate to harden.

Enjoy!

(My original inspiration for this project was this pin.  I never actually followed the link to the website….just loved the pic!)
