I can see where he got the idea….

So, I’ve written before about how having a son has introduced me to a whole new world, and one of the things that I’ve noticed is that sometimes my little boy just needs to hit something.  I’m not talking slap or punch or meanness, y’all. I’m talking tackle.  Seriously.  He rushes at his dad the minute he walks through the door, ready to wrestle.

So, today, after playing at the park with friends, he was so excited to tell me that he had been knocking people down.  I about died.  I asked him, “What?!”  He said:

“We played rover. You run and knock people down. It’s like bowling with people!”

Don’t worry.  I explained to the three year old that the object of the game Red Rover is not knocking other people down.  And, if your kid was inadvertently used as a human bowling pin today, I apologize.  Truly I do.

But, I still laughed.  A lot.
