I’ve been wanting to do Five Minute Friday for a while, but I never seem to have five minutes on Friday….that and I’m chicken. I don’t like the idea of just writing, just putting it out there, no editing, no backtracking, no delete button. But, I love TheGypsyMama’s blog and her writing. I’m telling you: read it! Daily. I do.
So, today’s topic is “If you met me.” Here goes:
If you met me….hmmm….what would you see? A harried, hurried, stressed-out mom with food splashed on her shirt and leaves in her hair? One who has not forgotten to wear her lipstick, she’s actually forgotten where her lipstick is. That’s what you might see if you met me, but…
If we could visit, if we could chat, you’d see much more. You’d see a mom who wants to do things well, who’s struggling to do anything much at all sometimes. You’d see that underneath the hurry and bustle and stress, there is peace, and in the midst of many little frustrations and irritations, there is much joy.
And, I hope, you’d see that I’d like to share some of that with you.
Whew. Five minutes goes quickly. Hop on over to TheGypsyMama to read more this week…and share your own!

Hi there! I’m visiting from Gypsy Mama and I love your blog. I so get that it takes time to see beyond the frazzled mess that sometimes we moms are, but it’s so worth it to get to the heart.

I’m visiting from Gypsy Mama and I can so relate to the stress-out, hurried mom with peace and joy underneath. Thanks for letting me stop in.

There’s always so much there beyond what we can see (and say!) in five minutes!
