Sometimes, I get overwhelmed by the endings.
So I never begin.
It’s true. Fear paralyzes me. Doubts overcome me. I stall when I should start.
Some tasks are so big they seem impossible.
Whether it’s the mountain of laundry that needs conquering or the sink full of dishes that need washing or the hundreds of pairs of earrings that need tagging or the projects that need funding or the diapers that need changing or the house that needs painting….
Whoa. I’d bet you need to breathe after just reading that so you probably imagine how I feel thinking it.
Take a moment. Breathe with me.
Because we don’t have to finish today. All we have to do is begin.
Take a step. Make a start. Do something little that will affect something big.
One load of laundry at a time. One day at a time. One breath at a time.
Just begin.
Take one step, and you just might find that the victory isn’t in the ending but in the beginning.

Breathing deep. One task at a time. Not looking too far ahead, savoring each moment of dailyness. Yes.

Thank you for this encouragement, it is life-giving, your FMF neighbor

“The victory is in the beginning”. That is true in so many ways. Just stopping to say “hi” from a FMF friend.

So glad I stopped trying to do all and be all and started taking one day at time!
I love this, “the victory isn’t in the ending but in the beginning.” Yes, so much yes!
Stopping by from FMF!

I so loved reading that. This afternoon, after picking up children, arriving home and knowing what awaited me on the other side of my front door I had one of those ‘just begin’ moments!
