It’s been a while since I joined Five Minute Friday. It’s been a while since I blogged at all, too. I’ve been busy working on web design projects and other things, but I’ve missed taking time to write. I thought the best way to get back in the swing of things would be to jump in feet first with Five Minute Friday. Next week, maybe I can join the #FMFParty on Thursday night, too! (If you haven’t, you should…the bloggers who gather each week are so fun!)
Today’s word is: SHARE.
Here goes:
I sip my coffee, and in the silence that only naptime brings, I close my eyes and remember. Hot days and hot chai and the simplicity of sharing both. Sharing life. Being connected to others in more than a casual see-you-on-Sunday-and-promise-to-pray-for-you way.
Because that’s what real fellowship is.
We don’t just fellowship in the fun. “Fellowship” should be about more than pot luck dinners and ice cream socials.
It’s about more than the meet and greet.
It’s about connected hearts and united spirits.
Taking time to truly fellowship with someone sends the most important message we can give:
You are SO LOVED.
By me.
By my Father.
He sought you out, and so do I.

Nothing but truth in your words. May we make the effort to go beyond the superficial and connect with other members of God’s family in a meaningful way. Visiting from Five Minute Friday.

Thank you!

I loved this. Fellowship is a sharing of hearts, and inviting into the real of who we are. Encouraging and uplifting each other. Thank you for the reminder to be intentional about fellowshiping, and making sure others know they are loved . . . by God and by us.
Enjoy those quiet napping times!

Thank you, Jeanne! So glad you stopped by!

So true! I think the power of fellowship is shown when we find a way to make it a priority in every season, not just when one of us needs prayer or support.
Nice to see another Mississippi blogger!
