So, today’s topic couldn’t be more fitting because….

Soon enough, I will hear friends say “karibu” and have no doubt they really mean it.

Soon enough, I will sip chai and soak up something even sweeter: fellowship.

Soon enough, I will walk with women friends in their own world, and the gap of oceans and emails will close.

That’s what a visit is all about.  Just like the visitation of Christ on that first Christmas long ago.  It’s an entering into the world and lives of others.  Just like Christ is able to sympathize with us in our weakness because he walked among us, walking with our sisters in Christ enables us to sympathize with them, whether they live a world away or just down the street.

P.S.  Booked my flight yesterday!  Pray for me and my family as we prepare for my upcoming trip to Kenya!

God bless as you travel to Kenya! I’ve never been to Africa but it has a part of my heart now. My daughter and son-in-law will be adopting a baby from the Congo and hope to travel to get him in 2014!
