I absolutely LOVED this sign at Libby Story in Ridgeland. It made me giggle and get out my camera…er…phone.
Roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a pile of things we had raked. What a fun way to end a day of yard work! But, what I really love about this photo might be a bit hard to see…I didn’t have any spare coat hangers so I was using skewers, which weren’t quite long enough and were getting a bit too hot. Not a problem for my husband…He figured out the perfect way to work it.
If you ever wonder, he is definitely the problem solver in our family…as evidenced by this conversation (which I will VERY humbly share with you): He drove up from work in his truck one day while I was out strolling our baby in a BIG jogging stroller. The baby started reaching wildly for his daddy so I took him out of the stroller and handed him over. I decided to put the stroller in the back of the truck and ride with them down the driveway, but I couldn’t get it into the back of the truck because I am so short and the truck is quite tall. When I told my husband to go ahead and I’d meet them at the house, he said, “Did you let the tailgate down?”
Problem solving: It’s not why I married him, but it is certainly a perk.
(And, yes, I am hanging my head in shame at the remembrance of this less than brilliant moment of mine, but tired moms don’t always think straight. Next time you feel you’re not as smart as you once were, at least you do not have to feel alone.)
Roses. From my garden. They’re so beautiful you’d almost think I know what I’m doing.
Do not be deceived.
My kind of camping out. No mosquitoes. Temperature control.
And a big screen movie right in front of the tent.
(Oh, and yes, my husband helped arrange the tent, but I actually helped him solve the “how” this time…)

Love, love these pictures! I’m so looking forward to roasting hot dogs and enjoying my home grown flowers. Up here in upper Canada though, we still have a whole lotta snow :P!
