It is hard to be two sometimes….

When you just want to do it all yourself.  And, for whatever reason, you just can’t.  So you throw a screaming fit like the jacket you’re trying to get off is a straight jacket (and, to be honest, at this moment, it might as well be) when all you have to do is relax and let me help just a little.  Just to get it started, you know?  Because even when you manage it (which you did), all the extra struggle and wasted energy (as well as the time out you’ll receive for the fit throwing) will take all the joy away from the accomplishment.

Hmmm…maybe it’s not just hard to be two, huh?  Because as my son was struggling and refusing my help, I was reminded of a certain someone (ME) who often acts just like that when my Father is right beside me calmly saying, “Let me help you.”  Oh, Lord, let me listen.
