There are rooms in my house I will probably never open to you. Partly, it’s pride. Partly, I fear something might fall on your head.
There are moments I will likely never blog about because you just don’t need the details. Saying I lost my temper is probably enough said. We don’t really have to relive it, do we?
But, while you may never know all the ins and outs of my daily life, God does. He sees each moment and hears each word. Nothing is hidden from him.
At times, I might be tempted to be intimidated by that fact, but more and more, I am so challenged by it.
My “ways are in full view of the Lord,” and “he examines all” my “paths.” (Proverbs 5:21)
It’s humbling to think he pays that much attention to me. It’s challenging to think that every moment of my day can bring glory to my Lord.
I can grumble over grime, or I can clean without complaint.
I can cling to all “my” things, or I can give with a grateful heart.
Every day, I can make a choice to see each moment as part of my mission.
“So…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)
