Parenting Hacks to Help Simplify Your Daily Routine

Parenting is challenging.  Every single day. Whether it’s helping kids with homework or meal prepping for dinners at home and lunches on the go, there is always something that needs doing or planning and thinking about. It can be overwhelming, but there are a few helpful parenting hacks that will simplify your daily routine and hopefully keep you sane at the same time.

#1 – Plan your week with both a digital and physical family calendar

To help get the most out of your working week, it’s always good to plan ahead. This can be done successfully with the use of a digital and physical family calendar. Why both? It totally depends on preference. I prefer a paper planner, but having a digital family calendar allows everyone to access it. That’s so important when my husband and I are trying to coordinate appointments. A digital planner is also available for those times you forget to bring the paper one with you (which I do on a regular basis).

One helpful idea is to keep a calendar in the kitchen so your kids can see it, too. Kids love knowing what’s coming, and I think structure helps them manage stress as well.

#2 – Master meal prepping

Meal prepping is a big part of making sure your week is as stress-free and blissful as possible. Meal prepping is something that you can do during the weekend weekend or spend one night doing, so that you’re effectively saving plenty of time the rest of the week as a result.

When you are meal prepping, consider sticking to basic meals that are easy to prep and cook. That way, you save even more time. Make sure you have the right containers to keep your meals in and that you’ve frozen anything that won’t last until the end of the week. Having some frozen meals can be during the extremely busy weeks ahead.

#3 – Delegate and outsource any tasks

As parents, we are the leaders of our home, and any good leader knows that delegation is key to success.  Start simple by assigning chores to your kids. It will help you keep things running, and it will teach them responsibility, too.

Also, consider what tasks you might be able to outsource to make your life easier. Paying someone to mow the lawn or clean the house might be worth the money if it saves you time.

#4 – Be prepared the night before

My baby sister is the queen of preparation! Every night before she goes to be, the kids’ lunches are packed, and their school bags are ready. Getting prepped the night before is a good way to get ahead of the day approaching. By packing your sacs à dos pour enfants the night before, you wake up knowing your kids’ belongings are all together and ready to go.

#5 – Streamline your morning routine

Packing your kids’ lunches and bags the night before is just one way to streamline your morning routine, which is a very important thing to do because mornings can be so very rushed and stressful. Being late can throw your entire day into disarray. Look for ways to streamline your morning so that it’s less of a hassle as a result. Easy breakfast ideas like muffins that can be made ahead of time are helpful ways to make mornings less messy.
