Tuesday Tip: A Fun Game for the Whole Family

So, it’s been rainy and cold  (well, colder) so our family had to find some indoors fun this weekend, which happened to coincide with my husband’s birthday.  My daughter wanted to pick a gift for him and this is what she chose:

Pop Goes Froggio was her choice because she wanted to give him something we could all enjoy together.  At first, I wasn’t sure she would be able to find a game that would be fun for everyone ages 3 and up, but she did!  We had so much fun playing as a family while staying active on rainy days.

The game is simple.  You put the cards face down on the floor, spin, look for a match then make the frog jump.  If you can catch him, you keep the card.  We had to do a little teamwork until the three year old got the hang of it, but once he did, he’s wanted to play nonstop…and we’ve been laughing ever since.

This is a great game for rainy days because it does require physical activity (helps them use up a little energy!) but doesn’t require too much space (for playing or storing).

We love it when we find games like this, and I thought you might, too.  Enjoy!

Also, for more great play ideas, as well as inspiration for keeping your family active, visit Let’s Play!, a community partnership led by Dr Pepper Snapple Group to getting kids and families active nationwide.
