You have to love kids….

One of mine looked at me the other day and said (with great enthusiasm and a huge smile on her face), “Mom!  Your tummy looks like you JUST found out you were having a baby!”

Ummm…thanks?

Since our twins were only about a week old, I let it slide with a smile until….

I spilled a glass of tea on the table at lunch time, and in response to my saying that I had no idea how that happened, she said, “Well, maybe it was your tummy…or your arms.”

Great.  Now something is wrong with my arms?  So I asked her what.

By now, she realized that maybe my feelings were hurt, and sheepishly, she said, “I don’t know.  Maybe they’re too long….or too short.”

It probably is one of the two, but without the bluntness of a child, I might have never known it.
