Every season leaves its mark on your home’s exterior. Autumn leaves can clog up the gutters, summer sun can fade the paint, or perhaps winter weather can just cause chaos. The best thing to do if you want to stay on top of things is to plan a quick seasonal check so you’re only looking for certain things, which can save a lot of time. 

For example, in spring, look to see if winter weather caused any problems, and in summer, you can take advantage of the longer days to look for cracks, fading, or small repairs that need to be made. When you break it all down by season, it’s not nearly as overwhelming, and you’re more likely to spot important issues you need to deal with. 

Don’t Overlook The Walls

It’s easy to focus on gardens, windows, paths, and so on, but the actual walls of your home need just as much attention – dust, pollution, and even things like bird droppings can slowly wear away at surfaces if they’re left too long. A gentle wash down now and then can make a huge difference, so add that to your to-do list.

The great thing is that these easy and quick updates can make your home look a lot more inviting, and they also show that the property is well cared for, which can help with everything from staying on good terms with your neighbours to the value of the property later on if you ever decide to sell.
